CHEMISTRY is the R & B duo of Japanese pop music. They are Dochin Yoshikuni (堂 珍 嘉邦, born 17 November 1978) and Kawabata Kaname (川 畑 要, born January 28, 1979).They are the winners of the audition ASAYAN (similar to the Indonesian Idol) in 2000 (by Sony Music Japan).
Their first single "PIECES OF A DREAM" on March 3, 2001, is a best-selling singles in the same year (more than 2 million). Most of the singles released reached the first position onthe Oricon charts in Japan, and the fifth-five next album reached no. 1 on the charts at the same time when it launched.
CHEMISTRY is also known in Korea for the popular collaboration song 'Let's Get Together Now' featuring talents from Korea and Japan.
